Velvet Leotards was established in January 2000 when we designed and produced warm-up leotards for our first client, "The Arizona State University Women's Gymnastics Team". They were impressive state-of-the-art leotards, maroon velvet with shiny gold straps across the back. (In 2000 straps on leotards were not as common as they are today, especially on College warm-up leotards!) About that same time, we began marketing to other local gymnastics teams, and in February 2001 Velvet Leotards began selling online. Since then we've expanded our line to include much more than just leotards.
Our fabrics are the highest quality poly/lycra velvet (a few are nylon/lycra) available on the market. This is just one reason why our line is so fantastic!
